Short answer: 2027 has three Mercury retrogrades (February, June and October), a Mars retrograde from January 10 to April 1, a total solar eclipse on August 2 and five eclipses in all. Jupiter enters Virgo on July 26. All dates below come from the Swiss Ephemeris and are given in UTC.

This page lists the sky events of 2027 that people ask about most. The dates are not estimates. They are computed from the same ephemeris that runs the free birth chart on this site. Times are in UTC, so add or subtract your own time zone.
Mercury retrograde 2027
Mercury turns retrograde three times in 2027.
- February 9 to March 3. Starts in Pisces, ends in Aquarius.
- June 10 to July 4. Starts in Cancer, ends in Gemini.
- October 7 to October 28. Starts in Scorpio, ends in Libra.
A retrograde is a change in how the planet appears to move from Earth. Tradition reads these weeks as a time to check, repeat and repair rather than to sign and launch. If you want the day by day picture, the ephemeris tables show Mercury's position for any date.
Mars retrograde 2027
Mars is retrograde from January 10 to April 1. It starts at 10 degrees Virgo, moves back into Leo on February 21 and turns direct at 21 degrees Leo. This is the only Mars retrograde of the year. Mars then moves quickly: Virgo again in May, Libra in July, Scorpio in September, Sagittarius in October and Capricorn in late November.

- February 20: penumbral lunar eclipse at 2 degrees Virgo.

An eclipse matters most for you when it falls close to a planet or an angle in your own chart. You can check that in the transits view.

How to use this page
Pick the three or four dates that touch your own chart and put them in your calendar. Retrogrades are for review. New moons are for starts. Eclipses are for the big shifts of the year. None of this decides anything for you. It only tells you what the sky is doing, so you can choose your timing with open eyes.
