Exaltation
Exaltation is a sign where a planet is honoured rather than at home, giving it a high but borrowed dignity: the Sun in Aries, the Moon in Taurus, Saturn in Libra.
The tradition assigns one exaltation sign to each of the seven classical planets, and often a specific degree of it. A planet there is treated as a respected guest: prominent, well received, and slightly out of its own element.
The opposite sign of a planet's exaltation is its fall, which our reports mark as the weakest tier of essential dignity.
Frequently asked
Why is Saturn exalted in Libra?
Classical sources tie it to balance and measure: Saturn's work of setting limits is best received in the sign of weighing and fairness.
Does exaltation guarantee an easy life?
No. Dignity describes a planet's condition, not an outcome. Our reports use it as one signal among several.
